I serve in many critical university and professional leadership roles.
Chair of Department of Language, Literature, & Writing (LLW)
- I have served as Department Chair for 15 years. I served first as Chair of the Department of English. In 2024 I became Department Chair of Language, Literature, & Writing after IUP’s Departments of English and Foreign Language were merged.

Co-Chair of IUP’s Council of Chairs
- I have served as Co-Chair of the Council of Chairs since 2020.
- I also serve as Co-Chair of IUP’s Chairs Training Team.
Chair of President’s Commission on Diversity and Inclusion
- I have served as Chair of the Commission since 2024. The Commission assists with IUP’s broad efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- I have served on IUP’s APSCUF Executive Committee since 2024.
- I also serve as a Representative for the APSCUF Legislative Assembly.
President of the Pennsylvania College English Association (PCEA)
- I have served as President of PCEA since 2018.
